Life is beautiful!

Hejsan! A lot has happened since last time I wrote to you. Things are going great in here, Elitserien has begun and rugby is tasting soooo good right now.

As I told you last time, we participated to Stockholm ten's and had lot's of fun. It was nice to see so many friends there and feel the rugby atmosphere.. People singing, havin' fun and enjoying rugby. Nice weekend! We played 4 games, lost 2 and won 2 but more importantly got little head start to Elitserien games.

We also have a new coach, his name is Gerdt. He, just like Coach Lewis and Coach Andy, is awesome and I like him a lot. He says we need to be fitter and toughter, so he's been pushing us to our limits for some weeks now. We have been running like maniac's!! Up the hills, lines, diagonal's across the pitch etc. In beetween runnings we have been tackling and rucking and tackling some more. There has been trainings where we spend the hole session in the hill. Running up, going down, running up again.. And once, after warm ups, we started the training by running across the pitch with 80% of max speed, then 15 sec. rest and then we run back, then 15 sec. rest and run again...guess how many times..? Yep, 30 times. That felt.. And those 30 "little runs" were only 15 minutes of that session. After that the real practise begun. He is timing every run so you can's start to slack down. He also keeps things interesting by not telling how much we will run, so you just have to run your best every time, can't save your strength at any times. Sometimes he says it's the last run and then after that he tells you it wasn't!! (I might of done that to you too my ladies, in our combat sessions..) Ha haa, he's absolutely great and you can imagine how much I'm just lovin' all this. You can't just go to these trainings, you have to be ready, calculate what you are going to eat before trainings and how many hours before the session, how to rest etc. otherwise... well.. you are just not gonna make it.

Elitserien begun last saturday and we had a home game against Malmö Pingvins. Great game for us! Our fitness level was lot better and we were able to keep good tempo the hole 80 minutes. We were able to keep possession of the ball and we ended up winning 10-0. It was the best game for us this season. We got very important points and if we can beat Vänersborg this week, we defenetely have a chance to make it to the semi's. Personally I had a very good game, I loved every second at the pitch and can't wait to get back there!!

So it will be away game against Vänersborg on Saturday. There has been some positional changes in the squat. I will tell you more about them after the game. This is what I like about our coach too, he is not afraid to do changes even in the last minute if he thinks we need it. We players just need to be ready for everything, work hard, stay humble and step in when or where ever you are asked to.

Keep up the good spirit in JRC! Miss you all,
