It's Thursday, week from now and I should be back home, or at least on my way there. My time here has been unforgettable, hopefully I'll be back someday. I just got home from another NPC training, and I had a great time there like always! Lisa (our fitness trainer) did some warm ups and conditioning with us and then we did a team run. That Lisa girl is awesome, she puts us running and working really hard every time! Did I tell you that she's a fitness trainer in the NZ army too. We all love Lisa! And I still write everything down so be ready girls.. I'm coming home soon and then we'll run together, right? I made an investment to our future, and I bought lot's of training equipement for us to use, there's hurdles, ladders, speed resistors, speed chute, overspeed trainer etc. I hope our 7's team will also benefit from this, 'cause like Lisa say's "you are only as fast as your feet are".
The other day I visited Rugby Museum. It's right here in Palmy. What an awesome place!! It was quite humbling experience to see all those rugby legends and heroes! And all those Jerseys they used to wear. Oldest rugbyball they had was from year 1913!! Imagine that! And those boots.. oh my gosh.. quite far from Nike! In that museum you realize how old sport rugby is and how much has happened during these years. They also have an international section in the museum, Jerseys and badgets etc..from all over the world. They didn't have any Finnish stuff yet, but now they do :0) I donated my Finland Rugby Jersey, banner and badget to the museum, so there we are now.. part of rugby history. Seeing all that history makes you also realize how little I know about this game, even how hard I've practiced I know nothing yet. Reminds me of something Sir Winston Churchill once wrote:
" Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful.
Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening,
ever-ascending, ever-improving path.
You know you will never get to the end of the journey,
but this, so far from discouraging,
only adds to the joy and glory of the climb"
-Sir Winston Churchill-
