Long time no hear! I've been a bit busy with my trainings and national 7's team, but finally I found some extra time to write to you. Hopefully things are fine in Finland and you are enjoying your game season. Here in Sweden summer is going absolutely great. My time in rehab is over and I'm back at the pitch! I just got back from Belgium 7's and what a weekend that was! We made Finnish rugby history by winning the division A and climbing up to the top 10 group in Europe. I'm so overwhelmed about our success that I still have hard times to belive we are there. Maybe next spring when we see the schedule for summer 2010 it will feel more real. I have been trying to imagine how it feels to actually go there and play against England, Wales, Italy, Spain etc.. Man it feels nice just to even think about that!!
Here in Enköping our premilier season is over and we made it to the Elitserien. It was a tight call but we made it! This means we'll have 6 tought games left against the Southern teams. Then in the end of September 4 teams will make it to the semi's and it looks like Uppsala, Exiles and Göteborg are in good points already. So most likely us, Malmö and Vänersborg will fight for the one spot that is left. But it's a long season and many tought games left before that so anything can happen. Even the best teams can suffer from injuries and that can change everything. We'll just have to fight game by game and do our best.
Before Elitserien starts we are going to Stockholm 10's and keep on training our fitness as much as possible. Me and Minna have really become attached to our life here in Enköping. Training, getting ready for games, playing, resting and eating! Everything here feels so cosy.. Our appartment, smell of the locker rooms, our beautiful pitch, gym etc.. I know we still have some time left here but sometimes we just look at each other and say: Man, we are going to miss this when we leave..
On the other hand I do miss my sweet club back home a lots and coming back to you will be my pleasure. My ladies: have a good game in Tampere, I know you girls will play well and I can't wait to hear everything later on.
